This was a really cool game. Right now I am having memories of when I played this game as a kid back in 1995; two years after it was released. Sigh!

Wow..haven’t played this since sometime in 97 maybe 98…I LOVED this game along with the DOS versions of Dragon’s Lair & Space Ace.
I of course, have compatibility issues with XP…but I think its time to look into dosbox..any advice on running all 3 games above on dosbox (as far as refresh rates etc) before I start ripping my hairs out trying to figure it out?

Great game, i still …
Great game, i still have the PS1 version of this game that came in the long cardboard box. Looked alot like Dragons Lair and definately suggest playing this one if youre a fan of the old school laserdisc games. Good times man. I heard readysoft went out of business and thats why this game went out of print and is kinda hard to find these days, especially PS1 version.

Well, did you …
Well, did you already read the tutorial linked in my profile? This should be a good start in most cases. In case of Alone In The Dark, it’s better to set the CPU cycles to 3000 instead of max, otherwise you won’t hear any music. I hope, this helps a bit.

I hate XP and Vista …
I hate XP and Vista. Why is it Microsoft can implement a way for XBOX games to run on 360, but they can’t make a reasonable way to play old games on new pc systems? And the way they continuously make Windows 98 and the other old operating systems obsolete forces us to switch to XP and Vista, where we can only play the boring new shooters like Halo and Gears of War.

I have yet to find a successful way to get Dosbox to run old games. Doesn’t load Alone in the Dark. It makes Blood’s movements choppy before finally freezing up. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Thank you so much! I miss these kinds of games. I can remember losing many hours of spare time hunched over a keyboard in my darkened den trying to master the sequences of Dragon’s Lair, Space Ace and Braindead 13.
